Story Map and Storyboard Planning Tools
The definition of a Story Map is it's a rough outline of the major elements of a story. Thinking in terms of building a story or writing a story, or even a book. The Story Map is like a graphic organizer that starts in the middle with a topic or a title and author then like a web it develops out into an outer circle with characters, setting with time and place. It also has places for problems and another for solutions. You will have the ability to rough draft in areas that you wish to write about. Also, used to decode a book or story. The Story Map will provide places for you to identify characters, setting and story problems and solutions.
The Storyboard is used as a tool for transition planning moving the story or concepts in a visual form. You can plan the story and plan out clues and scenes that need to happen in an order for the best comprehension of you audience.
Examples of Storyboarding might have sections to start a story about Greek history by explaining the Minoans (the first settles in the area) before you talk about Alexander the Great going to the Indus River Valley.
